Exercises against cold
By laughingbelly | November 1, 2007
For 2 days now I have been feeling as if I’m getting a cold. My throat feels sore, and my nose starts running a little. Are there any good exercises from Dahn Yogathat are good against cold? I feel when I do toe-tapping, my nose and my head get a bit clearer. Also breathing postures to strengthen my Dahn-Jon help me a bit. Especially an energy circulation posture with my legs are above my head, I feel releasing stuffiness from my head and chest area. It feels really good. I totally believe in self-healing. I’m sure by doing these exercises every day, I can heal the cold in just 2-3 more days. Yes!!!!

LATE!!
By DoSaNim | November 1, 2007
I woke up this morning late! I had set the wrong alarm. My first thought was “hhmm well thats nice.” as I swung the covers off and let my feet touch the ground. I picked up my pants and put on a fresh T-shirt. “No time for a shower or the rest of the morning routine” I thought. I put on my jacket and stepped out the door into the cool damp autumn air inhaling deep the scent of the leaves and wet asphalt. I walked with a quick pace but an easy mind. Today for whatever reason I am behind and it just is. Later I will catch up but for now I am here and all is well in this pre-dawn moment.
The ability to achieve this calm moment amidst what could be an otherwise racing calmity is brought to you by Dahn Hak Yoga and Brain Respiration.

Energy of Now
By DoSaNim | October 31, 2007
I teach a fair amount of classes for the Dahn Yoga center. Some people are amazed that I teach a few times a day sometimes as many as four on some occasions. Honestly this is nothing. If you check it by comparison to most school teachers it is hardly even their morning routine. Compared to Korean masters in training it is a far cry from the daily routine. Here in the states….the praise is nice and encouraging but the greatest thing about teaching classes is the energy I receive and accumulate and redirect. There are few things more awe - inspiring then to feel the entanglement of a bad mood, pushing it to the side for a class and through the exersices releasing the negative energy and refilling my body with fresh chunjikiun. And the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae is to see the faces of the members light up as the day is shaken and squeezed out of their body. The Ji-Gam is the most exciting as people’s posture is the biggest give-away to their state of being and through the energy moving the become lighter. At the end of class I think to myself “aaahh now I feel better”

Here Now
By laughingbelly | October 28, 2007
I recalled some of my happiest memories of my childhood when I saw more than a dozen playful puppies in pens yesterday. Small children and animals live in the moment. No past, no future, and no worries. We need to re-learn how to stay in the present moment, living fully. Dahn Yoga has helped me greatly how to be here and now while focusing on my vision, my life purpose. Believe me,it’s easier said than done. The more I practice, it gets easier though. I am able to be aware of my body, mind, soul more than ever before through body & breath, energy work, and meditation. Empowering my self and people helps me move forward. We can create better, more peaceful world without wasting our energies by being dragged by past or future. Are we here now?

Empower
By DoSaNim | October 27, 2007
Last night for our YEHA event we watched the 3rd Matrix, Revolution. One of the members was wondering ultimately what was the connection and point of watching the action flick. The first movie can be paraphrased to Initial Awakening, the second, choice/free will vs. fate/destiny, and the 3rd, consiquence. We all have to make choices and live with the consiquences this is why awakening to the awarness of the larger world and universe about us is crucial. Because in a sense nothing matters but to not choose is to choose complacency. Something will always happen. As the pinnacles of evolution on the known planet it is an honor to awaken our conciouseness to Brain Respiration. And to fully utilize the organ beyond its known capacity to actually create the lives of love, peace, health, and happiness we all want. Through Brain Integration we can see the true meaning of the choices presented to us and the unopinionated value in the consiquences.

Family
By DoSaNim | October 26, 2007
I love my family. I relized shortly after I started at my Dahn Yoga center that I was going to have to get my family to join this practice. I believe everyone can benefit from Dahn Hak Yoga, as it is a practice of empowering individuals to take responsability for their own health, wellness, and holeness. I started with my mother who joined solely because she wanted to see me more and this is where I was most often. After nearly a year through her own experience she has become a spokeswoman for the outstanding benefits of Dahn Hak Yoga. Anyone and everyone she can tell her inspirational story to hears about the wonder of HSP. Today for the third time my family was gathered together while I guided them through the Do-In exersices. Of course after the stretching, Chung-Joong breathing, and Ji-Gam all of their faces were bright and lively. As we hugged good-bye I could feel a sense of lightness in my father’s hug where usually he has a heavy burdened feel and is leaning on a person for their energy.
Today has been one of the greatest days; not only did I witness my family healing themselves, but was an attributing factor to their growth and actualization towards holeness.

HEALER
I love being a healer! When I was little I wanted to be a pediatric polminologist - children’s lung doctor, because I grew up having asthma. Now at the Dahn Yoga Center to be able to help people using thousands of years old techniques to balance their energy for healing!! I’m excited. I really love that my day consists of taking care of people in a proactive form. Western medicine and technology are dynamic and when combined with the natural, the healing process is something I didn’t know if we’d ever see but I had always hoped would exist. It makes so much sense in my mind for a healthier world and I’m so happy to be a part of a frontier combining wisdoms into a new standard of living for health peace and happiness in a logical progressive way. I picked up the Principles of Brain Management by Dr. Ilchi Lee, fascinating of course. I can’t wait to finish it and then pass the book on to my family for their development. Peace and Empowerment.

21 Day Miracle
By laughingbelly | October 24, 2007
21 days are 3 weeks. When we do something 21 days in a row, we can start changing a habit.
It is not easy to change old habits but not impossible. Try to do something more positive to overwrite your old habits. It works better than struggling to change existing habits.
Ilchi Lee’s official web site www.Ilchi.com offers 21 day Miracle Project to help people, who want positive changes in their lives. Tomorrow, October 25, 2007 the 1st term of the 21M will start. Ask your head instructor at your Dahn Yoga center.

Ancient practices in New Age
By laughingbelly | October 23, 2007
Last weekend I went to the New Life Expo in NYC. There were diverse holistic health and self help modality vendors and speakers–from health food to spiritual healers to heal body, mind, and spirit. I was delighted and amazed by the packed rooms. I feel we are living in the era of massive awakening. Most of us feel a need for positive changes individually and collectively. The beauty of practicing Dahn Hak (study of energy) and Dahn Yoga is that integration of ancient healing arts with latest brain science and even metaphisics in such simple ways–body work, breath work, dance, martial arts, sound and vibration healing, energy work, meditation, spiritual practice, brain education and much more. Some people call the Dahn Hak practice “one-stop shop”. Yes, I can practice ancient healing arts combined with brain science on a daily basis. I don’t need to wander around the expo anymore to find a better way to heal my self and grow. I’ve found a perfect solution.

..nothing more than feelings
By DoSaNim | October 23, 2007
Have you ever woken up to blaring sounds of the alarm? How rude it can be. Next time the alarm gives you a jolt and your first reaction is to grumble and resist, at that moment say thank you. See if you can feel, maybe just for one second, that amazing sense of gratitude without reason. Meaning can follow secondarily, but the power to change your perception of life IS within you. It takes only the effort of saying it. Feeling gratitude without reason is the next step to actualizing the life that you want. (the 1st was using your brain to make action). The feeling of empowerment will grow as the habit takes hold for more moments of your life. This is your life, FEEL it, OWN it, connect to it. In Dahn Hak we are a community of people working to create our lives in conscious thought and action.
