keep on going
By DoSaNim | October 15, 2007
Yesterday I picked up my tools for the first time in many months and made a house call to a friend. I spent a few hours tinkering around their house fixing doors that had bothered them for sometime with drafts and sticky frames. Like laughingbelly with a love of cooking, I rediscovered the joy of making things work properly with a little of this and that and some elbow grease. Solving a problem with out rebuilding an existing structure was just the sort of meditation I was looking for. Before I knew it I had passed the hours. Half way through I stopped and ate lunch with the man and his daughter making idle lunch talk about the Dahn Hak life, some current events, and the homecoming dance she had attended the night before. It was a good afternoon, I got a good meditation in, fixed a few things, and reconnected to the traditional family life, human beings. A very fulling day and I’ll be adding this type of work to the Phoenix Project outreach we’re starting out of this center.
