Cooking meditation
By laughingbelly | October 14, 2007
I am a good cook if I put my heart into it. Today I spent extra time to prepare a meal for my friends and family. I realized that how much I enjoyed cooking. Experimenting with different ingredients and spices to make delicious flavors. The best part of cooking is being creative. Using all my senses with loving mind and heart to nourish the people I care for. My brain loved playing with all the senses. I put lots of TLC (Tender Loving Care) and often hummed as I was cooking. Sharing food around the table and watching people enjoyed the dishes I had created was so fulfilling. As Ilchi Lee said in his book Human Technology, any activities including cooking can be a great meditation.
