Move slowly
By laughingbelly | October 1, 2007
This morning I showed a member of Dahn Yoga center how to walk slowly and mindfully.
She was able to calm down and felt her body and posture.
I’ve found a perfect poem at www.IlchiLee.com. It decribes the state of slow movement she and I experienced.
“Think that you enter into a picture
when you go to a mountain or take a walk.
Walk as if you do so in a living picture.
Then you won’t climb a mountain too quickly, panting.
Your breath will be deeper by itself and your walking will be slower.
You can feel every step.
You will walk slowly
enough to feel which part of your body shifts
and to which direction your center moves
every time you make a step.”
